About Northstar · A fictional product concept

Good decisions deserve
reasons you can trace.

Customer understanding should not disappear between a conversation and a product decision. Northstar explores a clearer way to keep the two connected.

The idea behind the product

Less distance between
feedback and understanding.

Teams hear useful things every day: a question in a support ticket, a hesitation during an interview, a pattern across account conversations. The hard part is turning those fragments into a shared understanding without losing the nuance.

Northstar is a concept for that work. It organizes sources, suggests themes for review, and makes the reasoning behind a priority easier to inspect.

It starts from a simple principle: an elegant summary is only as useful as the evidence and judgment behind it.

Product principles

Four commitments in the design.

01

Traceability

Keep the original words within reach.

A finding should link to its source context. The reader can inspect the path, question the interpretation, and understand how the conclusion was formed.

02

Clarity

Make the important distinction visible.

Separate observations from interpretations, evidence from estimates, and a suggested next step from a committed decision.

03

Collaboration

Create a shared picture, not a single viewpoint.

Different teams bring different questions. A common evidence foundation should support those perspectives without flattening them.

04

Responsible AI

Keep people accountable for the judgment.

Suggestions need review. Preserve uncertainty, avoid invented confidence, and carry collection limitations into the final brief.

An operating approach

Observe carefully.
Interpret together.
Decide deliberately.

The concept puts a repeatable review habit ahead of a promise that software can know the right answer.

Clarity is not the absence of uncertainty. It is being clear about what you know, why you believe it, and what still needs an answer.

About this portfolio piece

Designed by Triyan Arif Wibowo.

Northstar AI is a personal brand and UX portfolio concept exploring a B2B SaaS marketing website. The company, product, interface data, customer scenarios, and pricing are fictional.

This local WordPress implementation brings the MagicPath design into an editable CMS. Product interactions and demo forms remain disclosed simulations; production hosting and live services are separate decisions.
